On April 6, 2025, we will be honoring and paying tribute to the 349th Air Mobility Wing youngest heroes for their commitment, sacrifices and support of their military member parents. Military children are often unsung heroes from frequent moves and parental deployments to the uncertainty of military life can take a toll on their young lives.
One way to honor and show support for Team Travis’ military children is to wear purple any time during the month of April, but especially on April 6 which is Purple Up! For Military Kids Day.
Project Strong One and 349th Air Mobility Wing’s Military and Family Readiness will give away up to 150 bicycles to Reserve families of the 349 AMW during April 2025 drill weekend.

If you would like to nominate your child(ren) to receive a bike, please fill out the form below. You will receive a text by March 28, 2025 informing if you and/or your child will be picking up a bike on Sunday April 6, 2025 at 349 AMW Month of the Military Child event. Remember to RSVP with the other QR Code. This page is not for RSVPing for the event. Please note qualifications:
- You are the legal parent of the nominated child
- You are E1-E7, O1-O2
- You are stationed with 349 AMW Reserve Wing
- The child is enrolled in your DEERS
- Your child is 14 yrs of age or young on the date of the event
Bikes are first come, first and based on availability. The size chart is for reference only. Bikes will be assembled.
